Registered Massage Therapists
Massage therapy is a manual treatment technique for the soft tissues in the body, such as tendons, muscles, ligaments, and fascia. A Registered Massage Therapist is trained to evaluate the body to determine the muscular dysfunctions and then design a treatment program to restore normal muscule tone, improve blood and lymphatic circulation. The improved circulation can reduce swelling and assist in faster healing. Massage therapy assists in the treatment of traumas or repetitive strain cases. The goals of massage therapy may be to stretch shortened muscles, to decrease muscle spasm, reduce trigger points, to increase range of motion, and to break down scar tissue.
